Position: Production Associate AWG Northern Distribution is currently looking to hire energetic and hardworking candidates who are seeking long term employment to join our production team. We have recently upgraded our manufacturing facility to include production of tempered glass, shower doors, glass entrance systems and spandrel glass. This is a physically demanding job and you are required to stand for extended periods of time. In this position, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks. If you want to learn a trade, enjoy working with your hands, and are mechanically inclined, then this may be your perfect opportunity. Prior glass cutting experience an asset however training will be provided. Responsibilities: * • Coordinate with Production Lead/Supervisor for daily production task and prioritize work orders to meet delivery deadlines. * • Perform production task like glass cutting, tempering and insulating glass units as per SOP and guidelines. * • Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and delivery schedule. * • Adhere to Quality requirements of the product. * • Maintain production log sheets. * • Be part of safety initiatives, identify and report unsafe condition to supervisor immediately. * • Other duties as assigned. * • Ensure workplace and equipment is kept clean, safe and organized. * • Attend safety and job training as requiredRequirements: * • Two years experience in Manufacturing (an asset) * • Basic computer skills. (Spreadsheets/Powerpoint) * • Good interpersonal and communication skills. * • Must have reliable transportation * • Able to read measuring tape (metric/imperial) * • Ability to lift heavy objects * • Strong ability to work independently * • Ability to manually pull glass sheets as required * • Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands * • Possess organizational skills with continuous changes in glass runs.At AWG Northern Distribution we are dedicated to enhancing the skills and capabilities of our employees and pride ourselves on our dedicated customer service.
