Northern Distribution, a major distributor of glass products throughout Northam B.C. and Alberta requires a Long Haul Class 1 Truck Driver with Clean Abstract. Meal allowance provided. Required Skills and Qualifications: * Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract * Provide excellent customer service, load, and unload on deliveries and pick-ups * Complete pre and post trip inspections, and follow commercial driving regulations * Safe and efficient movement of trailers in and out of dock doors, within and between facility buildings * Daily inspection of truck; Monitor truck condition and communicate with the manager when repairs are required * High level of personal integrity and strong work ethic * Professional demeanor under stressful situations * Ability to lift heavy objects * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Assist in loading and unloading the shipments * Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed * High School Diploma or equivalent * Over Nights Stay and availabilityBenefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off * Profit sharing * Store discount * Vision careSchedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as neededAt AWG Northern Distribution we are dedicated to enhancing the skills and capabilities of our employees and pride ourselves on our dedicated customer service.
