Position: Drillers Salary: $32-37/hr THE JOB Diamond Drillers operate drilling equipment to safely maximize core recovery. Drillers are safety leaders – setting the standard for job sites, identifying hazards, and exemplifying safe operating procedures. Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Assembling drill components * Using drill string components * Servicing and maintaining hydraulic power packs * Installing and maintaining water lines * Helping develop Driller’s Helpers * Inspecting drill rods * Communicating with operational personnel * Completing checklists and inspectionsTHE PERKS Be part of a dynamic, driven team, that has a priority and focus on personal development. THE SETTING Work on mineral exploration drill sites across Canada, where your “offi ce” could be the rugged mountains of BC, the forests of Northern Saskatchewan, or an underground mine in Ontario. Wherever you may be, you’ll experience unique terrain many people never get a chance to see. THE SCHEDULE Work hard and have quality time off. Site roles require 11 or 12-hour workdays while living in a camp environment. Scheduled days off leave plenty of time for travel and other pursuits. The typical schedule is 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off. You will alternate between day shift and night shift. WHAT YOU BRING Minimum 1 year experience working on a diamond drill. You will need to be fi t for work and complete the pre-employment process. You’ll need to be a team player with a good attitude and strong communication skills. A valid driver’s licence, driver’s abstract, and Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C are required (First Aid is not required to be eligible to apply). Build a career that’s made to last.
