The Burns Lake Public Library is looking for a detail-oriented library clerk with excellent customer service skills, communication, a good memory, and has a knack for research. Library clerks can expect to check books and other materials in and out of the library. Maintain shelves by ensuring accurate shelving through shelf reading and re-shelving materials as needed. Helping patrons find what they need. Other responsibilities include: telephone answering; notifying patrons about reserved materials; collecting money for fines, photocopying and faxing; repairing damaged books; processing new books; sending out overdue notices; and keeping the library clean and tidy. The successful library clerk should have excellent organization and research skills, and a kind and friendly demeanor.
